The 16 days of your favorite coin from each decade - Act I

How it works:

On July 27, we post our favorite US coin from the 1790s. On July 28, our favorite coin from the 1800s, and so on until we reach the 1940s.

Schedule:

July 27 - 1790s
July 28 - 1800s
July 29 - 1810s
July 30 - 1820s
July 31 - 1830s
August 1 - 1840s
August 2 - 1850s
August 3 - 1860s
August 4 - 1870s
August 5 - 1880s
August 6 - 1890s
August 7 - 1900s
August 8 - 1910s
August 9 - 1920s
August 10 - 1930s
August 11 - 1940s

Let's begin!

Is this US coins only?

I would assume so, since it is in US Classic and Colonial Coins section, but thought before it starts, somebody oughta ask.

TNG "Is this US coins only?"

I would say "yes" since it is in the "US Classic and Colonial Coins" section

I would also say US only since it starts with the 1790s.

Well, I don't have much to choose from for the 1790s, but this Draped Bust (Heraldic Eagle) Dollar is definitely my favorite:

This was the first pre-1800 coin I ever owned and was one of two special coins I purchased in honor of my father, who passed away in August of 2015 [the other one is currently my avatar and you'll see it again toward the end of this thread].

As expected, the bar has been set pretty high. Here is my entrant for the 1790s: a 1795 Cent (S-75; VF (NCS):

This well circulated 1798 cent is my favorite US coin from the 1790s because it's my only US coin from the 1790s!
