To me, this is a VF-35 judging from both sides. Many will say EF-40, I know.

AU50, obverse is VLDS, but doesn't show much wear. Reverse is the best telling point.
Rest in Peace

I'm absolutely terrible at grading Buffs but I would guess it's around VF30, but someone was posting here recently that the mid 20s S mint Buffs tended to have lots of strike issues, so the Frog may be closer to the actual grade.

I'll elaborate,

the reverse shows a full horn with good definition making it at least EF-40 in my book. Where I get the AU-50 from is that the reverse looks, while MDS, a bit flatly struck. It also looks like there may be some luster left on it. There is a very solid amount of detail left on the buffalo's beard and lower leg. Now I will say I suck at Buffs, so take it with a grain of salt.

To my eye, reverse is evenly worn to VF-35/EF-40. Obverse very weak. I see no hint of luster or anything suggesting AU.

Buffs, IMHO, are the toughest series to grade. Many series within series (not just type 1 and 2), but die erosion was considerate.

I'm at AU50 also. although weakly struck obverse it has nice feather detail. there is some separation in the hair band and minimal wear on the cheek. the reverse is decently struck with a full horn, nice beard detail and sharp lettering
