Poll Question
It amazes me at the number of new members we as a forum receive daily. While I would think that about half will continue participating beyond a few curiosity posts, those numbers are a good thing. If you are new to the forum and reading this, I sincerely hope that you'll stay active.
Anyhow, what crossed my mind while reading the posts of the new member section was the age of those. Are these younger people? People nearing or in retirement? Or somewhere in the middle? So if you would, please select an answer. This applies to seasoned members and new alike.
I'm one from the latter at 53.
Many thanks.

I'm at that awkward age, too young for medicare but too old for women-to-care (not really, 66 here and I'm eligible for medicare but I like the joke).

Baby Boomer, now 73. Have been seriously collecting for 56 years.
My first purchase: A gold 1/2 sovereign, Sydney Mint bought for U.S. $5, now valued at around U.S.$375
Now collect across the whole of numismatics, ancients to modern.

I sure hope more members see this and contribute.
For now we've pretty much identified a median age here of 55-56.

I just joined the forum in March at the age of 49. I had collected back in high school. I would never say that I stopped collecting, but it definitely decreased in importance. I did get my son to start looking at coins. Then, within the last year, I decided it was time for me to dive back into collecting more seriously.

33 years old for me. I collected a good bit during elementary and middle school then dropped it until around five years ago. I've got the bug now.
