Funny thing is I went for a bike ride earlier today and saw both fedex and usps delivering packages. And it's only going to get crazier with holiday shopping intensifying this week.

I decided not to get them graded so I opened up to see if I got a golden ticket. Sadly I didn't. Here are some pictures. It will look nice next to my other ERP eagle.

mellamobradley46, THAT is a beautiful example, Congrats, Thx for sharing too...... Celtic, I was on the fence, making the submission my second, in My life, 1889-CC was the one and only now. I decided NOT to do it and enjoy the beauty of the coin, in hand. You have some time to decide, NO?

Does anything differentiate this coin from the normal proof other than surface finish? Let's say some maniac carried one as a pocket piece for 20 years and then sent it to PCGS, would they still know what it was?

Hey GnGs, Fedex shows mine at 1:53pm today only around 15 miles away from me and delivery still shows for Friday the 29th...I'm betting on Tuesday. So you all should have hope for an earlier delivery date than listed....Now I need to decide on grading or not..... .. ...

Mine finally updated after no activity since Friday and arrival date pushed back to Wednesday. At least it's moving.

This is the slowest shipping I ever experienced from the mint. I never waited more than a week and most times it was less than 5 days. Since I usually walk at 3.75 MPH, I could have walked faster than fedex is shipping (well if I walked 24 hours a day).

Pinehurst increased the price for the coin in OGP & those that 'only' made it to grade 69 to $1,199. Is someone trying to corner the market? I can't get rid of that feeling...

So my post office is super annoying. FedEx gave it to the local USPS and that was last Tuesday. Of course a new tracking number was not supplied (fedex is 20 digits and USPS is 22). Tuesday, no coin package but I received my regular mail. Wednesday, no package and received regular mail. I found out if you put a 92 in front of the fedex tracking number it will track the USPS package. I looked at the tracking history and it said, ALERT, couldn't deliver because couldn't reach location... I received no information with the 'attempt' in delivery... I called my local USPS and they said that the coin didn't need to be signed for and she was 'surprised' the coin was still there. She informed me that after a failed attempt in delivery they are supposed to send it back to the sender, stating that it was bad customer service to hold onto packages.
Well thankfully they said they would hold it for one more day and that I need to be the one there to pick it up. Thankfully I was able to get the coin but I could have lost out on this coin.... I would have been so mad...
