Hey all? So what's the next set you are going to start? I have only the 1877 IHC and I'll be done so I've been planning my next set and there are 2 I always wanted to do, the Mercury dimes and Peace dollars. After looking at them, I decided to go with Peace dollars and .... The American Innovation Dollar in proof. The peace should be easy, 24 coins only 2 over $100, the innovation dollar is even easier as I would buy them from the mint but it won't be done for 14 years. I'm looking forward to completing both :) I Like having goals.

When I completed an Australian type set, each type represented by the rarest date for type, (the hard way), including gold, I asked myself:- "Where to from here?"
The answer - another question: "How about collecting in an area where to complete a set was impossible?"
The answer: Ancient coins. That extended into World coins, from the invention of coinage, 26 centuries ago. Been doing this for about 40 years.
I do have a reasonable collection of about 200 American coins of the 19th and 20th Centuries, including gold. That is mainly due to the influence of membership in the CCF.

I have well over 100 Albums. Now the only thing I haven't tried yet is 2 and 3 Cent pieces. So that is next. I'm thinking of getting a Blank Album and adding pages for 2 Cent, 3 Cent and also, 20 cent pieces all in one Album.

I'm considering three possibilities, capped bust Half Dimes, sales tax tokens, or maybe coal scrip (but not from WV).

after I finish the LWC album, next to finish is the 7070, which I've already started. i'll be starting something else as the 7070 really gets going, thinking about numerous things, hard to pick just one... the list in my head is long... I may have to dive back into morgans for a while, the 7070 is going to pull me farther back in time... we'll see...

I looked at doing a Morgan set but they get costly. Not to say Morgan's aren't beautiful, but some coins are expensive to get.

I passed by the LCS and they had a used Dansco album for Peace dollars, so I have started my new set.

It might be a while until I actually get the search for my next set off the ground (too many coin and currency irons in the fire) ..... but I have been leaning towards either working on a Franklin half set or an Ike set.

I'm slowly working to upgrade all the coins in my virtual 7070 (US type) set to certified examples.
