Do you KNOW that it is a proof? If you don't know but think it is, then it might be worth sending to a TPG.

Are you certain this is a proof. Reverse looks pretty poorly center struck.

Kanga. I bought it labaled as a regular strike but the reflective surface and great strike give it away.
And mox it's a 38 reverse, not as sharp as the 40. It's a proof

For proof coins, the Reverse of '40 is the less common of the two. Given the ROI, I wouldn't send this to a TPG.

Any chance for more photos? Lighting in these makes it hard to see the surfaces.

Quote: I just got this one! Looks great in hand! Do you think it is submission worthy? This depends on why you are thinking of submitting it. 1. Sending it in and hoping to hit the jackpot for it making a high grade so you can sell it? Then take the advice of the ones offering grading opinions here as to what the grade is and compare with sold coins on ebay etc. of like grade. 2. Sending it in because you just like slabbed coins? Then go for it! 3. Sending it in because the modern misconception (among newbies and people who prefer slabs and believe everyone else, therefore, should only want slabs also) that all good coins HAVE to be slabbed then forget it. This market-produced mindset is loved by the marketers b/c it makes them money, but does little else.

Thanks earl. Yea it's hard for me to get a grade on this forum. I'm about done posting on this side of the it. My last post no one posted a grade? Yes I would hope for a high grade. A66 would be only a small profit but a 67 would be worth it. I'm a gambler and it is well worth the gamble to me!

I don't see this better than 66.
