The coin in the second pic was hollowed out on its reverse, and the coin in the top pic was cut down to fit the hollowed out area. You can see the evidence of the cutting on the top pic, most clearly visible below the portrait. It's a fun conversation piece for five cents. Report this Post to the Staff

It's a Magician's coin and may come apart. It does look like the second coin was hollowed out and the first coin was cut down to fit inside, as fortcollins noted.
