Normal coin there should be an extra column there part of the design

I understand the false column is suppose to be there but here, the top and bottom corners are near touching the 2nd column. Seems offline not being flush to its respective column as in the example posted. within tolerances I'm guessing? Thanks for the help.

That's from Die Deterioration and abrasion to clean up die clashes, die polishing

Looks like when they were polishing the die, they removed part of the edge were the design for column 2s edges of the bay (the outside of the die) was rounded off. Placing too much pressure on that edge removed part of the dies steel. With any removal of the die, the coins will show a raised area. That is what you are seeing.
