Not too good at detecting error coins, if this is even one, but this nickel has a copper finish to it. Any thoughts?

It doesn't look like toning, artificial or natural. And what about the nickel colored flecks that occur over the coin?

The flakes already fell off some areas of the coin showing the true color of the coin. Altered color.

I think it's not an error, and more artificial toning of some sort.
