I thought I would start a new series as I watch the American financial system collapse. I already have around 35 dates of Indian Head cents to start. Can anyone tell me what odd over dates and other holes for non standard dates/mints exist in the Dansco Indian Head cent album? If there are several I may just start this one with generic cent pages. Thanks.

Most collectors don't have the 1888/7 anyway. I would just start filling the holes with the coins you have. That's the fun part.

It has the 69/69 in it, I think that it is for special holes to fill.

Special coins to look for: 1894/1894 overdate and the 1897 "1" in neck. Dansco has no holes for those. I believe Red Book lists the 94/94, but for some reason does not list the equally valuable 97 "1" in neck.

My IHC's are in blank cent pages.

I did not like the idea of having only two pages in an album that could hold four. Same goes for the Buffalo nickels and Mercury dimes. So, all six "blank" pages (two each of cent, nickel, and dime) are in one album.

I may do that also JBuck. I wonder if my Lincoln Cent Dansco would hold a couple more pages? I am pretty sure the Buffalo nickel one would hold more pages since it has only two, but I just finished the Buffalos and I want to keep it the same.

I use the Whitmany Classic Albums and basically do the same with many albums. For example I have several Mercury dime albums in the same Album cover. Set #1 is the original and #2 and #3 are all blank pages with those press on gold letters/numbers that Whitman sells. Same with sets #4, 5 and 6. For Lincoln Cents I have been adding blank pages since the 80's and now up to 10 pages per Album. Ben Franklin Albums have additional pages for Kennedy half dollars also. I made one Album with Liberty Head Nickels, Buffalo nickels and ending with several pages of Jeffersons. Most Whitman Album covers will hold up to 9 or 10 pages and if you use their blanks, you can add the numbers and letters of whatever you want. I've got to check myself to see if they still sell those sheets of press on's. Putting them on is little tricky unless you've got a steady handd.

I confess. I have two pages of Kennedy half dollars in my Franklin album (which can hold four pages, but only comes with two).

I'm sorry I can't say what exactly is included on the IHC pages. Some sites allow you to order replacement pages - they may have images where you can make out the writing.

I did like many others and used two blank cent pages. The IHC series only fills about 1 1/4 pages, so there's lots of room for extras. I have these in the same album as Buffalo nickels, Mercury dimes, and Walking Liberty halves.

The 1867/67 is another one. Does that album also include the Flying Eagle cents from 1856 (rare) thru 1858? if so, the 1858/7 is regarded as part of the series by some collectors.
I completed these 2 series (minus the overdates). I don't have them in a dansco but may put them in a Capital holder.

What grade do most IHC collectors try to obtain for the most part?

All circulated for me. I have a couple of red uncirculated in my Dansco 7070, but the IHC Dansco has one or two VF-20's and the others are G-4 to Fine. Of course cost is an issue for me, particularly with the keys, but nice, problem free, circulated IHCs seem hard to come by, especially on ebay.

In talking to Ken Bressett, he stated that they list some varieties, but feel that the others, such as the 1 in neck, as more applicable to Cherrypickers.
