The Roosevelt quarter looks like it has some doubling. The letters look like they were scratched on as opposed to stamped. Is this from Die Deterioration? Looks like a doubling on the six and a die chip by the holster. What might a coin like this be worth?

It appears to suffer from Die Deterioration Doubling.

I would put it as Machine Doubling on Liberty and either DDD or MD on reverse, either way...value 25 cents

Keep in mind the die state of these dies. On the incuse devices, they are raised on the die, so dies polishing really affects these devices. The polishing removes the height of the devices, thus the shallow devices see on the coins. Still waiting to see the incuse devices that will be gone. (Remember the cents with the missing VDB on the obverses) So that is why these are weaker. Grease Fill has no affect on incuse devices.
