More of the die movement/machine doubling that happens. See this a lot and it still catches they eye when spotted.

The reason it is that it is not die doubling. It is Strike Doubling, the die was not affected, the strike was. If you note the letters are still the same size as normal, just with die movement through some of the devices.

I agree that this coin does not show any die doubling. There is a fair amount of this "look" seen as we look through cents.
