1776-1976-Bicentennial-Quarter-Error 1776-1976-Bicentennial-Quarter-Error

Hello, still learning the ropes here. I've had this coin since it was issued in 1976. Are these errors of any significance? I've always figured they were, but never investigated until now. Any help would be be appreciated.

Thanks!

to the CCF!

Interesting! Can you get closer, more detailed or higher resolution photos? Do you happen to know the weight?

If the weight is normal, then it is a Struck Through Grease error. If the weight is under, the coin may have been altered. (the reverse at 10:00-11:00 maybe a closer image might help?)

Doesn't look like a Struck Through Grease coin. Looks like a very thin planchet, possibly even struck on a detached clad layer.

Seems to be lacking something. I'm curious about the weight, also if the edge has normal clad layers. Thanks, Doug.
