What Would You Grade This Hammered Coin?

tdziemia Pillar of the Community United States 7958 Posts	Posted 02/25/2020 10:03 pm I recently pulled out this coin and photographed it for another thread ... It's one of the handful of slabbed coins I own. We've seen a lot of comments here and there on CCF about the seeming lack of rhyme or reason on grading of older hammered coins. So, just as another data point for the regulars who hang out here, what would you have graded this one? Report this Post to the Staff

There is no luster to speak of, but a very attractive even patina that shows pretty well in the photos. I would have guessed XF.
