I've got a 2009 Lincoln Cent and I don't think there is a mint mark. It weighs 2.5 g and please don't say it got ran over by a freight train Thank you all!!

It's a heavily damaged and beaten coin. 100% PSD (Post Strike Damage) unfortunately. Not an error coin.

Not a train, but rather multiple cars. When we see coins with this many deep scratches, we call them parking lot coins.

Perfect candidate for having been run over--slowly--by a large garbage truck. Several times. Perhaps spending a few weeks in a disposal corporation's vehicle yard, before being picked up.

Ok, it got run over by a Mack truck then. Or spent some other quality time in a parking lot or road.

2.5g is the correct weight for a 2009 Lincoln.

Spent to much time in a parking lot. You can spend it now, or have a copper colored Hershey's kiss wrapper later. Your choice.

The only thing I want to know is who the heck started calling this kind of damage ''Road Rash ''? I thought we always called it Road Kill . Wow ! one guy changes the wording on something and everybody follows suit .
