So recent posts regarding the more Modern Doubled Dies has been somewhat of a big conversation lately and I was hesitant to share this find right away due to future plans of including it in my Error & Variety Catalogue strictly for Nickels but since I am no where near ready to start that catalogue as I am in the middle of finishing up my Small Cents Catalogue I figured the members here would appreciate something new to look for while searching Bank Boxes of Nickels.

Please note that these images are intellectual property and I would appreciate it if they are not altered or duplicated (unless it is for determination purposes in this thread only)

Also note, that not all images are the exact same size, so yes some devices MAY look smaller than others only due to the image size, nothing more.

Before I start I would also like to add that YES my photos are close up, but keep in mind I found this with a loupe! I find it quicker to search with a loupe than a microscope as I would be there all day. I only use the Microscope when I find something of interest that needs better eyes.

Before you are quick to call out "MD" or " DDD" skip to the photo of the last "N" and "A" then make your determination as this Doubled Die progresses.

In this photo you will see the first "E" in "ELIZABETH" images on the left are Normal, images on the Right are the Doubled Die.

Here you will see the "N" in "REGINA" note the extra thickness and Offset of the "N" compared to the normal one.

Again you will find extra thickness in the last "A" of "REGINA" with an offset.

This last photo is of the RCM logo, as you can see on the right image you will find the Circle is doubled, along with extra thickness, in this image you cannot see it but the Leaf is also doubled on the right side but due to lighting it is hiding behind the shadows.

This 2013 Doubled Die I can most certainly see being genuine.

The 2012 the 2015 and the 2016 quarters though I just honestly cant make a 100% confident determination due to lack of characteristics that normally show on Doubled Dies, until some experts that focus on the larger cents can look into it and give us a more solid confirmation I'm considering it DDD for now while still holding on to them until future determination.

I posted this find mainly because I did not want others to be discouraged and stop looking, you really never know what you will find on any and all years of denominations so I posted it in hopes that it may encourage others to keep looking.

The 2013 loon and two dollar coin are also well known for doubled dies:
