Any ideas what this would be worth? I have searched the internet with no luck. Thanks, Sam

In general, wheat cents are worth about 3 cents each. I see no reason why yours wouldn't as well.

Not seeing any 3 under the 4. I see plenty of circulation dings, nicks and wear.
This plus grime is probably what you are seeing.

Pareidolia - the tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern.

The second 4 in the date has taken a hit.

I see what you are trying to point out but that's not a mint mark but just some PMD.

Definitely no 3 underneath. Probably not even damage, just some random dirt accumulation that looks something like a 3.

How could it be a mint error? The '3' would never be that large.

Yes, damage, dirt, crud, definitely not a 3. Not even close to right size to be a 3.

This is a close-up so you can see what I am talking about. The pics are difficult to determine, but looking at the coin is obvious. The leg of the 3 is under the leg of the 4.

Does anyone see the three now, or am I imagining it. I am not sure how crud or garbage could get under the leg of the 4.
