@VC, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @john1 that the color of the '37 Nickel is most likely due to environmental exposure (not a mint error).

OK yeah I was referring to the color.. OK thanks for the responses. I have a bunch of other coins I got from my grandfather that past away. A roll of 1960 Lincoln head Penny's uncirculated. I believe it's small date. 1961 to 69 uncirculated. Some clipped edge coins to much to list I don't even know what I have really.

That is the fun. I am doing the same, going through the family 'found it in change' piles. The internet is your friend. Pick something up, google about any rare variations for that date, see what yours has. Roll up what is not collectable and reduce the junk bulk, if you have tons of rubbish. Ive got between 5-10 rolls of useless nickels and what feels like $200 in pennies (its probably <50 but it feels bigger). Its slow going.
