Hey there,

Thanks for getting the pics posted up. By the looks of the coin I would put that about XF 40 -45. it seems to me there wear clearly evident in Washington's hair and on the eagle's breast.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is not an MS 63/65 grade coin.

Happy hunting!

Timthrill, HI,

For some reason, I see no photos. Which coin book are you using? And I interpret your question as to why there were only 2 price quotes for your coin which seems to have been a 1983D? I assume a Washington quarter? but not sure at all.

In some of the coin prices, for recent coins , the price for circulated or marginal like MS-60 is considered by the publisher to not be worth listing over face value, and only list the MS63 and MS65, or other combinations.
http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/price...icesgd.shtml

lists more of the values, and seems to be a more realistic pricing. If I can be of more help, just ask.

Your links are still dead
A 1983D Washington quarter is only worth more than 25 cents if it is a solid MS coin, otherwise it is face value.

I finally found your problem (took me long enough).

You have a space embedded in the link, but the forum does not like that.
Remove the 'space' from the filename all will be well.

I renamed and uploaded the photos to CCF. Here are your pictures:

Now that I can see them, I have to agree that based on those pictures it is not an MS coin. Sorry.

This date wholesales over $300 per roll in MS-60.

There isn't much wholesale activity in circulated coins but I've seen offers over $100 for rolls of AU's.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

That is certainly true and the 82s and 83s are no ordinary quarters in MS grades. However, based on the comments by the few that have actually seen these "mysterious" pictures, this is just an ordinary circulated quarter- that is the point I was trying to make.
