@ESF, for a second I thought that you had posted the same coin in two consecutive threads, but I do see now that they are different. The C on CENTS likely has a small die chip; however that similar region by the S of STATES looks more like a plating bubble to me. That is my best guess anyway--either spot could be either of those.

But checking the weight will tell us a lot more. If it is 2.5 grams, then the issue if probably a plating over zinc dust. Possible die chip on the 'C' though. Rest, I feel is plated over over dust on the planchet.
