Here's a recent find: 1991 penny error. Is it a mis-strike and a Cud?

Looks to me like a massive die break. Awesome find!

@John1 A strike through should only affect one side of the coin. How would you explain the raised area on the reverse with a strike through error? Usually a massive die break like this on the reverse side will cause exactly the kind of weak strike we're seeing here on the obverse.

I can't believe it's not listed! It must be fairly rare then? Incredible find and certainly worth a greater premium.

Is it just my eyes, or is this coin slightly out of round?

Excellent find. Big congrats. What is the weight of the coin?
Maybe it is possible for the coin to be "pulled" out of round trying to fill the massive void in the reverse die.
EDIT: After further review the obverse still has the type 2 proto-rim on the top portion. The remainder of the rim has formed normally from being struck by the dies. It appears the bottom half of the obverse has expanded to fill the collar die while the top portion stayed the diameter of the planchet.

I was asked for my opinion. It's clearly a huge Cud (corner die break).
