Appears to be damage inflicted with a blunt object. Reverse photo(s) will surely help.

Sorry, doesthiscount, the reverse pretty much settles it as damage. If the reverse were completely clean, and only the front showed any indentation, it could be a strike-through error, but this is clearly just damage.

Yep, just damage. PSD. Nothing in the minting process could have done this. It's impossible.
