OK, for some reason I dont have this coin in my Dansco. I have all the other silver proofs for that year, but not the dime. I have no flipping clue what I did with it. I buy to sets, one to keep in the OGP and one to break up for albums. So I have a complete set in OGP, but do NOT want to break it up for one dime.

So my issue. Coin World gives a value of 20 bucks for it in PF69, 50 for a 70. Yet I can not find a single one for less than 30.00 I dont mind paying a bit over value, but NOT 50% of the value more. Why are they being valued so much higher by sellers? Am I missing something?

Um... Coin World's values have no basis in reality?

Prices have ranged from $10 (raw) to $50 (PCGS MS-70)

Check ebay - prices are higher than 50 for the PF70 but one sold recently at about 40.00

Keep patiently trolling the ebay listings. It may take some time.

eBay's "sold listings" include a couple dozen under $30 in the last couple of months, including several under $25. Do a search for current listings and bookmark it, then check it frequently. You'll find one for a reasonable price before too long.

But yeah, ebay's "sold listings" is a better gauge of current market values because that's what people are actually paying for these (unless they're shills, which isn't impossible, but not likely at this scale).

Ah yes, the beauty of the marketplace. If people are willing to pay more, the product sells for more.

And how do you figure their values are not correct? I believe those values more than any other out there.

I hadnt looked at the sold prices. I have been checking several times a week for the last month. Hopefully another comes up for a closer to value price soon.
