Hi everyone, I'm still a newbie when it comes to errors and variations and would like your input please on this nickel I came across today. It really stood out to me and I was doing some research on it and think it may be the WWHR-003. Thanks for looking and I look forward to your comments. Stay safe

Doubled working hubs aren't rare. A doubled die is rare because each die will only strike a few hundred thousand to a million coins out of potentially billions minted. A doubled working hub creates multiple identical doubled dies, so there could be tens or hundreds of millions of coins struck with this reverse (not sure of the exact numbers of dies that a doubled working hub is responsible for).

I do see both Die Deterioration Doubling and Machine Doubling on your coin. I can't see any split serifs, which is what I look for on the 1960s Class II doubled dies. I think the "doubling" USSID18 points out is an issue with the lighting in the photograph.

And as Sam Coin pointed out WWHR-003 is a doubled working hub, which means there are numerous dies with identical doubling. And that means there are many, many coins out there with that doubling and would not be rare.

Very late die state. On the DDR's the hub doubling is more horizontal. On the verticals of the 'R' that is Machine Doubling.
