I was looking thru a new silver lot of quarters and found this on the obverse of a Washington 1958 D. Is it a DDO? I didn't think that year / date had any.

There's no Doubled Die Obverses listed for 1958 D. Only one Doubled Die Reverse is listed for 1958 D on VarietyVista. Go on that site and take a look. I don't see any doubling on the obverse except for light Machine Doubling. I also can see circulation wear and flattening as well on the devices.
Errers and Varietys.

@sheldius, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @E&V (and you) that this isn't a DDO.

Thanks @VE and Spence. The funky G O D along with the Machine Doubling had me wondering. I can usually handle one or the other. LOL.

Here is a side by side that shows the size of the outsides of the devices, that are the same width.

Side by sides help a lot. Why? Because your eyes loose perspective moving from one image location to another. Seeing them both at the same size tells the whole story. (not a story)

Coop, what photo editing program do you use, if you don't mind telling us.
Quite good editing.

I use Photoshop 5.5. It won't work on new computers. The computer I use is a home edition Windows 7 64. Eventually this computer will breakdown, and I have to upgrade to CS-6. I've used this program for over 25 years. (still learning new things to do with every day. The images I made can be made with other programs. But you need to be able to make a layer with the software to make the images. The lines are just underlining and moving to the correct locations. Everything is basic, but you need to have to make a layer for this. The images are always made with two images that are exactly the same width. Placed over each other with a layer. Then add the lines by rotating the image 90 degrees. Add the lines in different colors. Pretty basic. But I've been doing this so long, it just takes a few minutes.
