The US mint released the proposed designs for silver and gold eagles bullion. I read the gold version wording will be a little different. The CCAC meetings info with the designs are on usmint.gov. Here's screen shots. Close ups on usmint.gov are better. My first impression is I will miss the current version of the eagle family. It will be interesting to see which one is chosen.   |

I can't find the pics on usmint.gov Please add a link. I hope they pick this eagle pose personally. But swap E PLURIBUS UNUM wording with ONE DOLLAR and put motto on banner. The image looks like it needs a lot of work. Talons should be gripping the fasces. However, the meaning of that bundle is lost in this design. The reverse of the Mercury dime shows' a more complete fasces signifying Unity, Strength and Peace. This bundle is simply put there for our Eagle to stand on with no thought behind it. I didn't like the flag ones. My favorite is the flying eagles. But I never liked the heraldic eagle so almost anything is better to me.
