The coins I have been searching through are all covered in dirt and gunk and who knows.... But out of these coins I have found what I believe is the 1958 DDO..... I know some people might say that is impossible.... but I swear the pictures dont do the coin any justice.. the doubling is the exact same, you just have to view it at the right angle because of the damage on the coin If this was the 1958 DDO in horrible condition... Should I send it in? or try to sell it on ebay or what? Even if you dont agree that this is the DDO.... what would you do if it was... send it in or sell it online? Im not even going to put many photos of the coin on here because I am not really asking if it is it or not I am asking what should I do with the coin if it actually is the 1958 DDO? thanks for the advice everyone You wont be able to tell from the picture that it is it because of the damage. *** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Classic PMD or environmental damage. IMO not the DDO.

there is no way you can see it from the picture .... I am just wanting to know , would this coin still have value if it was the DDO? and will a grading company still grade it in this condition?

Any chance you can get a close-in, high resolution photo of DDO evidence? Anyone grading the coin at PCGS, NGC, or ANACS is going need to see the DDO features before attributing the coin. Do you feel a professional grader will see the DDO as the coins stands now? Consider the fees involved in having the coin attributed and slabbed.

Let's say it is the "one" ,then yes it should be sent to PCGS. That being said,IMHO,it is not "the" big DDO. John1

Even if slabbed I doubt anyone would offer much for it in the condition that its in. If getting it slabbed is worth it to you do it, just realize it will come back Details and probably no higher than a G grade. Personally I doubt its worth more than a cent. I see no solid doubling as in the REAL 1958. The doubling is visible naked eye, this coin has nothing like that.

If this were the famous 1958 DDO-001, it would be visible even in these pictures. Not it.

with Sam. THIS isn't the 1958 DDO-001. Don't waste your money having it graded as it would only be a disappointment in the end, sorry. Your best bet is to find a gullible newbie on ebay and over hype it like so many ebay sellers do. It pains me to point it out, but that's the reality of it. If it was me and I was certain THIS is the one, I'd keep it and keep lying to myself about my great find.

Still don't see it, but if you believe its there, you should get it slabbed. Look the chance of you winning the coin lottery is pretty low (well almost nil), but if you feel that strongly get it slabbed.

There is a 0% chance it is the DDO, but if the only way you can learn to take our advice is to squander $50, go ahead.

If anything, maybe DDD. Not worth sending it in since DDD is worthless doubling. As mentioned above, if you don't believe us, please send it in for a professional's opinion.

Even if it was the big one. What would someone pay for it and why? (If) you send it in and they agree with you (please) let us know. Then I'll check (every) coin I touch.
