It looks like a modern token. I am sure that I have seen this before but unfortunately my memory is failing me.

Agreed, reminds me of an older telephone token or similar. Doesn't seem to have the right amount of text to be a coin.

Well, rotate your first pic 180 degrees. It is the Korean letters for Busan on top now, a very important South Korea port city. I will have to do a little work on what it is, ie token or coin, but if a coin, it is not recent. Sorry, forgot to add the other words = city bus, so most likely as others have said, a token.
Caveat: It's been many years since I lived in Korea. LOL

It is definitely not a Korean coin.

I agree it does say city bus, sinae beoseu, and the words are upside down.

It's a student city bus token for Busan, SK from the 70s to the 90s. Just found one on numista. In Korea, most of the students actually ride on what we could consider a tour bus.

Thank you, everyone. I thought it looked like Korean, but when I looked at the Korean alphabet, I couldn't identify which way was up!
Funny little story (of the self-effacing variety): my wife, while watching the kids play, spotted this token in the dirt at a guesthouse near the Pathet Laos caves. Knowing I was coin-shopping on this vacation, she picks it up and hides it, both of us coveting it and trying not to alert the hotel owner of her 'find.' I guess our guesthouse is popular with Korean backpackers. :D
