That long, thin line on the obverse from the E in the motto straight down toward K5 bothers me. I'd need to see this one in hand to grade, so I'll pass.

The VAM number may be easier than the grade but I'll guess it's MS65 and VAM-39..

MS-64, probably a technical 65, but I'm willing to bet the toning dropped it down a point

the 84(O) strikes are mostly soft to average. this one is an average strike however the stars appear to be weak. may look better in hand but I'm not a toning fan and this one doesn't excite me. I think there are more marks on this coin that the toning is hiding. I'm having a hard time getting it past MS63

So far nobody is close to the NGC grade.

So they must think AU? Less than a 65 and looks too clean for low MS. Hard to find any obvious signs of wear, especially with the odd toning.
