I only have these images to show but a friend of mine wants to get a second, third and as many opinions as possible on the grade.

John1, you might see a crescent shadow at the top of the reverse. It's in a slab. No, it's not an error or anything odd best I can tell.

mayXF45 but obverse looks closer to 40. typically TPG's will give a lot of leniency in grading circulated gold however the scratches across on the right of the date may details the coin

You guys have been great. My guess was AU53 obv AU50 cleaned rev from those images.
I will tell you I thought it was over graded in an ICG holder at AU55
Looks like I was right. And it generally looks like this in my makeshift graph from opinions.

I suppose it looks about AU50 with perhaps a fair chance of being cleaned. I do agree with that looking at others and photograde.

Most likely was cleaned at some point but I think it would straight grade by one of the three big TPG's.
