CCFPress Press Manager United States 1420 Posts	Posted 09/11/2020 5:20 pm PCGS - The 2011-P 9/11 National Medals were produced in remembrance of the events that took place ten years prior. The obverse features Lady Liberty with two vertical beacons of lights, symbolizing the immeasurable loss of September 11, 2001 and also the resiliency and triumph of those who were preserved. The reverse depicts a landing eagle with the inscriptions, "Honor and Hope." Symbolizing the strength of the survivors, their families and the Nation. In the background is a backdrop of cascading water. Symbolizing peace, serenity, healing and the continuation of life. Report this Post to the Staff

Of course, my overall appreciation for medals has changed a lot in the last nine years. I might have to find one of these at the next coin show, whenever that is (maybe in the spring).
