@dbroo, this looks like it was struck through gritty grease and so details were not fully struck.

Yep, it's an error. It may be worth a couple of dollars to the right buyer. The more detail that's missing the more desirable the error.

Yes sure. Whether or not it has value beyond face is a different question. I'm hoping others will weigh in on that aspect.

I'm not convince that it is a error, surface appears rather rough. Please post a closer picture of affected area.

Agree, rough surface suggests some sort of damage rather than grease effects.

The second picture to the last one shows some form of damage area rather than grease filled in my opinion, bring it into you local coin shop for another opinion.

Looks like a struck through with grease and debris on that area. No premium. Just knowing what happen is the premium for this one.
