I would like to thank you in advance for helping me. I have two one dollar rolls of nickels and one of them has a stamp of the liberty bell 1946 and the word bicentennial underneath the bell. I couldn't find any info online regarding the roll. Does anyone know the worth? Should I open it and see what's inside? Or is it worth more as is? Any info or advice is greatly appreciated.Anyone-Know-About-1-Dollar-Rolls-Of-Nickels-And-Has-Bicentennial-Stamp.

to CCF. I have never seen or heard of them. Also,a normal nickel roll holds $2 in coins.Let's wait for the pros.

Yes. I don't see how an aftermarket coin wrapper affects the value of the coins it covers. If you collect numismatic ephemera, then perhaps you would open it carefully and save the wrapper.

Also, welcome to CCF!

Likely just a gimmick. Doubtful there is any any value to the wrapper. Many gimmicks were marketed during the bicentennial.

I agree with the above opinions that the wrapper likely does not add any value. However it doesn't necessarily mean you should open the roll. If you like it just how it is, great. Can you see date or mint mark on either end of the roll?

No I can't. Just my luck both ends of the roll show the reverse side.

Based on the date on the coin stamped on the wrapper I'd guess that they are 1976 D nickels probably, also the bicentennial year, although nickels didn't get a special reverse that year, it was the year of our bicentennial. Scarce year for full step nickels though, I'd open it carefully and look for any ms66 full step nickels personally.
