The Unbendable 1983 P 1c

Besides the MAD, split plating, & zinc bubbles this coin has multiple errors.

RIDB Obv/Rev?

Possible SKH-53?

Question- Die Break on reverse bottom right. Is it considered "not closed"? Wondering because had the open ends aligned it would for sure be closed.

Thx for posting. For sure a spike head and obv RIDB with multiple die cracks on the rev. I am less certain about the potential RIDB on the rev.

You might be right Spence, maybe even both aren't RIDB. Why do you think the Rev isn't? because it doesn't fully close? In that case the Obv wouldn't be either right?

Given the photos posted, it appears Lincoln's throat has been 'die polished' away--or nearly so. Slightly misaligned die too.

Yes exactly. The die cracks get lost in Abe's hair for me so it is hard to see if they connect. They do so often that I was giving it the benefit of the doubt.
