It's NGC graded PR66BN (where's the * ?). When you look at it straight on, it's Chocolate Brown with a tinge of blue...get it in the light and it "waves" at you! The little black spot on the brow was on the holder.

I wonder if they don't do the "*" with a BN designation. It's the only way a coin that beautiful could go without the star.

Very beautiful coin, Ken. Congratulations!

I don't know what prompts NGC to add the star designation. The only star slab I have is a 1956 proof quarter, graded PR-67* Cameo. It's a nice coin, with decent (not DCAM) cameo contrast, but not really exceptional IMO. Then you see a beauty like this IHC which truly is exceptional. Why no star? Beats me!
