Hey there MadMortician... just an fyi, but the "no mark" ones are from the Philadelphia mint. You could save a couple keystrokes by just saying 2009P or 2009-P

... in other news.... finally finished my family portrait delivery this weekend so it's time to relax with some rolls and my new architect lamp....ahhhhh.... life is good.

Raymo... well.. kinda.. photographic artist is what I'm supposed to say to make it sound fancy - I spend a ton of time making real people look perfect, but I'm a photographer who specializes in portraits and weddings.

Found these and I was wondering if I could get some information about them. The first has these cuts in it that look to be as old as the coin and are exact mirror cuts on front and back.

This 3rd one looks as if the colors are part of the coin.

1) PMD....squeezed with tin snips or wire cutters

2) improper metal mix gives it a wood grain look...they are called "woodies"

3) appears to be a stained

That woody would've been sweet if it hadn't gotten damaged.

Jayman - let's see some pics of the DDO!

MadMortician - I figured as much, but out of curiosity, why do you say no mark?

Jayman - did you know right away when you saw it? Was it obvious? Were you using a loupe?

I ask the same questions to everyone that finds these modern DD's - been through thousands of 95's and 2006's, but haven't found one yet - Hoping that they'll "jump out" at me when I see one.
