Panama-Pacific 1915-S Commemorative Round $50 Gold

Dragnet episode "Internal Affairs: Parolee", first shown November 27, 1969.

Sergeant Friday and his partner investigate some old theft cases from 1956, one of which was a stolen commemorative coin. According to the program, the coin was worth $400 in 1956 and $6,000 in 1970. The officers locate the coin, it is then shown in it's holder which appears to be original

The episode is on the Coins on Television section of my website.

Sorry to reanimate a "zombie" thread, but based on the subject, hopefully you will forgive me.

Season 2, Episode 6 of Zombie Nation features a busload of Abe Lincoln look-alikes. All are zombies, but only one of them was partially sliced in half with a manhole cover-sized Lincoln Cent:

Remember that Pawn Stars is basically a fake TV show. If you watch it enough, you can tell how fake it all is.

Pretty much sums up all "reality" tv shows.

Except Survivor...

Which introduced "Fire Tokens" last season (seems like forever ago now). I cannot wait to add one of those to my collection.

Just like pro wrestling, reality shows are fake/staged, but they're real entertainment. And you can get some decent info on coins/notes from Pawn Stars. Just don't rely on it.
