I picked up this 1893 Indian. It has a nice red and brown color with lots of luster and four full diamonds. The spot on the cheek is toning and not rub.

Your thoughts about it are welcome. Thanks.

I lean toward AU-58 as well, but 63BN or so would not surprise me.

Looks MS to me, with good luster and red-brown color (like the title says).
MS-64 RB seems possible.

As I am always trying to learn, for those who see it as AU-58, where do you see the wear? Is it on the cheek, tips of the feathers, the reverse ribbons?

Thanks.

To me, obverse cheek, ribbon and hair, reverse lower portion of the wreath (leaves, ribbon and arrow heads) show light signs of circulation.

Fields do look relatively clean. Looking at it again I could possibly see 63 as CF said. In hand this one may be more obvious.

tough call on this one. I can see at AU58 but I'm not 100% convinced its not MS.

Thanks for all the replies. After giving it a good look over with my 10x loupe, I don't think it has any wear, but I'm not 100% sure about the cheek. I think the spot there is toning, but it is a little flat on the cheek.

The fields are very clean with no slide marks or anything like that.

I got it along with an 1857 Flying Eagle cent for $35, so I'm not into it for much money. It is a lot nicer than the seller's photos showed.
