I believe this is already known within collecting community but just in case I consider the 1975 2c to have a Short 7 variety

Thanks for that Aussie coppers, I wasn't aware of the existence of this short 7 but then again my knowledge of varieties and errors on are 1c and 2c coins is very limited

I guess only a specialist would know of the existence of this particular variety. Like a lot of varieties they are overlooked and would probably be forgotten about. But not by me!!.. Have several of these.

A note a made to myself when I first read about this: "All of the Canberra-struck coins all have a long thin 7 while the Perth-struck coins can have either a long thin 7 or a short thick 7. The long thin 7's serif appears pointed while the short thick 7's serif is flat."
