Strange... Thanks for the link.

It's hard to imagine this coin existing and even harder to imagine someone finding a 2020 $1 in circulation.

hmmm the fact that its a clash 10 cent die and not a straight mule, does it make it still a mule?

More mint sport.
The die has been clashed on purpose to prove its a 10 cent die.
The real mule is the mint worker who did this.

Some more info at http://www.coincuriosity.com/view/2...ar-mule.html

I'm inclined to say mint sport but we'll find out in the coming years I guess.

I reckon it's time the mint worker responsible for all these one off so called 'errors' is identified and given some free lodgings at HM's pleasure.

I believe the only way to find this coin (if it exists) is in a mint set.

I have not seen any 2020 $1 mob or roos in circulation

Neither have I (yet anyway) - none listed in the last annual report thought the 2020 IRB $1 coins are likely to be 2020 JC $1 coins in reality.

Should we trust they got it wrong or right?

Is security at the RAM really so pathetic that workers can knock up any kind of "rare error" coin they want and just wander out with them shoved in their boots?

Looks like it - 2014 ANZAC dollar mule, 2015 dollar mule, 2020 dollar mule, 2020 Olympic two dollar mule and maybe some double headed coins in more recent time (and maybe some others I'm forgetting).

Strange that we haven't heard of any more of these coins now that the continent is flooded with 2020 MORs.

Come to think of it, haven't heard of any die-clashed 2020 ten cent coins either...

I am inclined to agree that it may be a yet another Mint employee 'inside job',
with the background that the first 2000 mule is now quite valuable, with an established auction record.
