Are These Steel Cents Plated? - Coin Community Forum

T-BOP Rest in Peace United States 18456 Posts	Posted 01/06/2021 11:10 am Looks like the 43-S is not reprocessed and the 43-D looks like it might be processed . Actual Plating is done at the mint by Zinc Plating a steel planchet while reprocessing is done by outside company's by taking circulated 43's and stripping them of the Zinc and new Zinc applied .
