Hello coin community!

I'm new here and looking for some opinions on the grade on my 1973 large bust quarter. Also, circulation , PL ? I'm a hobby collector and have approx 75% of all Canadian coin dates but I don't own any slabbed coins and not interested in sending this one off for certification.

The story is my mother in law found it in her change around the time word first came out about the variety , and she stashed it away. She more or less forgot about it until one day about 10 years ago she came for a visit and saw my coin books all over the kitchen table. She told me she has one of those large busts somewhere and she would give it to me when she remembers where she put it . I thought to myself that she's possibly mistaken , but sure enough on her next visit she had found it and passed it on to join my collection.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes looks PL to me.

I had the good luck to pull two out of my paper route money in Alta Vista, Ottawa c1973. Both now ICCS MS64, one long ago sold.

A friend of mine at Ridgemont HS also pulled one at the time. I suspect still uncertified high MS. I should call him. Still in my mother's neighbourhood.
