I know the homecoming coins had a high mintage but this is ridiculous. 5/8 I seem to be getting a run of SA centenaries. Total 20c coins noodled = 19720 Total no. of 1966 coins = 259
Number of wavy coins = 0

I'm still shocked at the number of Canberra centenary coins you find. Just about never see them in circulation here in Perth.

The last batch had 9x1966 coins, this lot - zero! Another 2004 big head. I go for months without any and then 2 in quick succession. Steve, I didn't know there aren't many Canberra centenary coins your way. Yes, I get loads of them. Do you need some for trade? Total 20c coins noodled = 20200 Total no. of 1966 coins = 259
Number of wavy coins = 0

Quote: Do you need some for trade? Thanks for the offer David. I think all my trading friends have this coin, so should be fine thanks.

Yet more Canberra centenary coins. Still amazes me that flightless bird from over the sea keep appearing. I assume that a fair few Aussie 20c pieces circulated among the Kiwi coins in the day. Total 20c coins noodled = 20680 Total no. of 1966 coins = 263
Number of wavy coins = 0

This is the first time I've found a New Caledonian coin from a coin roll. The ACT Federation was in really nice condition as well. Seem the be getting a lot of Will and Cath coins lately. Not the prettiest of coins. Total 20c coins noodled = 21640 Total no. of 1966 coins = 276
Number of wavy coins = 0

This one takes the mickey. 8/11 are Home coming coins. Arghh... The remaining 3 are nothing to write home about. Would happily have nearly all Home coming coins if the last coin was a wavy. Total 20c coins noodled = 22120 Total no. of 1966 coins = 284
Number of wavy coins = 0

Another 480 coins with a strong showing from the Kiwis. One of the 1966 coins was aUNC. Was desperately hoping it would be the wavy but no such luck. Total 20c coins noodled = 22600 Total no. of 1966 coins = 292
Number of wavy coins = 0

This is the last update from my batch of bagged noodle finds. 2 NCLT coins in one haul is a first for me! On the down side, while at a recent collectors event a guy showed me a 1966 wavy that he and his daughter noodled. Noooo... That means 1 less out there. It may have been the last one out there!!! Total 20c coins noodled = 23080 Total no. of 1966 coins = 293
Number of wavy coins = 0

1966 20c Wavy 20c Coin Here's my interpretation
Most of these coins were pulled from circulation in the 1970's+1980's There was not much else to look for in circulation coins back then
Since then the odds one has come to surface is very very rare
I have found 1 of these in very poor state since 2000....and I have noodled a vast amount of 20c coins...that's over 20 years by the way
Just being a realist - these are very rare to find in circulation - hard to gauge exactly as to how many of these were minted as there is no mintage figures on the variation but they as hard to find
If you do find one I recommend put it aside as I feel they have not reached their potential as yet
That's my 2 bobs worth
Good luck for anyone looking for this coin because if you find one it is worth the look
Cheers to all

The Kiwis keep ending up with you, as they can't come home. The smaller golden ones keep them away and they put a big scary Maori carving on the 20 cent piece to stop them coming.
Looking at your finds, they are start to getting pretty tired looking those Kiwis.
Still wishing you luck to find a Wavy!
