coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/01/2021 12:26 pm When the feeder fingers get damaged from being struck on, then it scratches the outside of the die which is the fields areas. It does occur also on obverse on different denominations: When these are removed from the dies, it reduces the size of the devices and affects the sub fields. Report this Post to the Staff
