Yesterday I received my Papua New Guinea coins . They were sold as Proof, but when I picked them up, they seemed very strange to me. I know that the Proof is different . The coins that I got are not mirrored, they are more like matte . What do you think ?

Going by these photos, my first thought is impaired proof. But this is not my area of knowledge.

According to krause, the franklin Mint made uncirculated, matte, and proof versions of these coins. this one looks like a proof version that is developing a haze/toning or has been handled.

Might be a matte proof - as oriole said they came in uncirculated, proof and matte finished but I've never seen one of each side by side to compare.
