Found another interesting coin in my rolls from today. It immediately jumped out to me as a clipped planchet. I looked at a few websites to help me differentiate if it is and I'm just not quite confident it is. Looking for much appreciated opinions! Thanks!

Looks good. Straight-on pic of the edge would help.

Definitely a clip of some sort or other.

With these pictures, I can't tell if there is any evidence of a Blakesley Effect on the other end of the diameter to the clip.
Until I know for sure, in my mind, there remains the possibility that the coin was clipped after it was issued into circulation, rather than a planchet clip before the coin was struck.

Unfortunately, not all small planchet clips display the Blakesley Effect, so in this case, very close examination is essential.

I'd definitely keep this one in a 2x2 for safekeeping.

Play is little with your lighting (or contrast). This coin and a few others of yours that I've seen here are a bit dark. Usually you can adjust this with your photo editing. You'll be a pro in no time at all! The more you do coin photography, the better you'll get!

Note the weakened devices near the curved clip area. That is what you should see. The thinning of the devices. Image #4. Note the 'T' compared with the 'T' on STATES. See the reduction on the top of the cross bar? That is what you need to see to confirm, this is a legit mint error.

I like to refer to clips as a planchet error.
Cent planchets are made off site and arrive at the mint with the clips
already on them before they are struck.

Only since they are zinc. The copper ones were a mint creation. Zinc ordered in. (Probably didn't want to deal with the plating issues?)

I'll be sure to put that one in a 2x2. Thanks to all for the input and to Coop for the nice graphic writeup explanation. Greatly appreciated!
