Maybe for kids play set like a grocery store? I've seen those back in the day, with cash registers, a bunch of fake food, and a large cardboard store front to set up. These are a little outrageous (at $10-15K) but same idea. https://www.lilliputplayhomes.com/p...main-street/

There are a lot of fantasy coins made, presumably in China. I suppose that they are not technically counterfeits since they do not resemble any real coin.
I can only conclude that whoever makes them doesn't care that don't look like a real coin, since they can find a sucker for whatever they churn out.

It looks like a poorly done fantasy coin. Maybe from a toy company, as noted, and not intended to be sold as an error or counterfeit. westcoin said... If I paid $1999 for this, I would want more than a few beeps, I would expect it to walk, dance and make me lunch each day! Wouldn't a trip to a real market be a better lesson for the kids? It sure would be a whole lot cheaper!

Quote: It looks like a poorly done fantasy coin. VERY poorly done. A copy of a copy? I've seen the better looking ones listed on the Internet as a "Exonumia Fun Coin". That banned website has them for sale for about a dollar.

Wow I can't get over the prices the sellers want on them. I wouldn't want one for even a dollar. To each their own I suppose.
