I apologize for breaking the "one coin per post" rule, but I bought these as a poorly labeled lot and I'm curious to hear your opinions.

The lot title was "Old American Coin Lot (Some Silver)" (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Old-Americ...133672922394). I offered $150, figuring the wheatie would cover the costs and the other 17 coins and two bars would be icing on the cake.

The crown jewel. Of course an ICG 64RB isn't a PCGS 64RB, but other ICG 64s have been selling on the bay for around what I paid for the lot. In hand, it's much closer to red than brown.

1927 Vermont commemorative. This came in an NGC body bag for environmental damage, which appears to be PVC. Other than that, I dig the circulation cameo and still find it to be an attractive coin.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

1857 FEC. Maybe F-VF details, cleaned.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

Lightly circulated type 1 buffalo with a bit of poorly mixed alloy.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

1847 Half Dime. I'm thinking problem-free F-VF.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

1870 Three Cent Nickel with an obverse lamination, reverse die breaks, and 15 degrees of die rotation. The lamination is visible around much of the edge.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

1818 large cent, cleaned (Is that polishing compound in the recesses?). It has a rich, chocolate brown patina that looks better in hand.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

1860 IHC woody.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

1901 IHC. This one has many minor rim Cuds. The edge is unaffected, so it's definitely not damage except at 8:00 on the reverse. There's also an isolated die chip in the field behind the neck.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

1.3 oz of silver.

Ebay-Score:-Slabbed-1931-S-Lincoln,-1927-Vermont-Half,-And-Much-More

Low-value copper alloy.

The seller says there are 27 coins in that lot , you claim a total of 18 ? Either way if you paid $150 plus shipping I would say very good deal .That 31-S is sweet , hope the scratches are on the slab .

I'm guessing guessing that was a matter of shifted fingers on the keyboard. I was kind of hoping to find 11 more coins in the box, but I'm certainly in no position to complain.

They are, luckily. The marks on the head and the two very faint carbon spots appear to be the only real detractors.

Nice ebay pickup .... agreed the lot is likely worth more than you paid.

Also note that other than the 1931-S LWC - the lot appears to contain some problem and troubled coins. Hope you can enjoy them in your collection.

Well, the ebay presentation was not very flattering, but I guess that it worked to your advantage.

That 1893-p Barber dime looks promising, and that 1860 Indian cent has the more common rounded bust. Nice set and I would have bought it myself at that price.

WOW!

The 31S is accurately graded IMO. You got your money back and then some with that coin alone!

The seller sold a few other coin lots for very good prices, too. Like a roll of SLQ for $125.
