I've flipped tens of thousands of coins of all different denominations since I got into this hobby about two years ago, but had never found anything more significant than about 25°. Today I finally found my first major die rotation error (70°). I feel like celebrating!

Very nice example! Certainly worth keeping! Don't own a single rotated die but I certainly look, Congrats!

It's not 40 degrees, nick. I was excited and overestimated slightly, but after measuring with a protractor, it's about 70 degrees (just about on the nose). I've updated the title to reflect this.

Excellent find! Strong rotated dies can just be the monkey's green banana to find (ever see an image of a monkey with a green banana?). Kudos!

Thanks guys! Really happy about this one. Made all that time spent flipping thousands upon thousands of coins over feel like it wasn't just wasted lol.

And very cool, rothery! I will have to play around with resizing that and print out versions for different denominations. Would be a very useful tool to have!

You need to celebrate. I haven't found a good one in over 50 years.

Thanks Cujohn!

Also @TropicalBats I think you're gonna have to explain the monkey's green banana to me lol, that is a level of folk analogy that is just escaping me right now
