Is the Filled D on a 1968 D Lincoln Cent anything special to bring a slight premium? Or should I just spend them.

If the fill is 'dramatic', and the coin is in AU58 or better condition, you might get a few dollars for it--key is dramatic and high grade. Any chance we can see a photo or two?

The post that forms the inside of the 'D' has broken off the die. The rest of the coins struck with that die will show the same thing, coin after coin, after coin. Just another die event with probably half of the coins struck with that die, showing the same thing. 540K times. More of an educational coin. But only one is needed.
